A powerful special that traces the devastating impact of a decade-long civil war on Sierra Leone's young women, thousands of whom were abducted, raped, and/or forced into slavery by soldiers on both sides of the conflict. Three young women share their stories. In addition, one boy discusses having been abducted and used as a child combatant.

This documentary is not about explaining why men rape.
Its about showing the consequenses for the victims and that is enough to make good documentary!
Make the truth be known and make the voice of the victims be heard!
Veetule:
I think that you in your review blames make the person who made the documentary, the victims and the doctors and make them responsible for ending the rapes and killings in Kongo!
What gives you the power to judge them and what gives you the impression that they have the power to stop the rapes and the killings?????
You should ask the men who rape why they do it not only Kongo, also Sweden and all other UN-countrys who send soldiers and let them rape women and children and pay them for their silence with canned food.
Why the rapists soldiers still get paid and why they do not have to go to jail like a rapists should.
Why should the person who made the documentary, the doctors or the raped women know why men kill and rape them? Why is it only their job to do something about the rapes and the killings?
Why should every documentary show both sides?
If you want another documentary about the rapists and murderers, why don´t you make one?
What are you doing about the rapes and killings?
Do you write letters to the company which made you cell phone to tell them that you won´t buy another phone til they can guarantee that its no blood shed and no rapes committed in the process of making their cell phones?
Do you write letters to your goverment and vote to prevent soldiers from you country from raping women and children in other countrys?
If you want answers to your questions you could only do a web search to find alot of information with many different sources.
The fact that you did not get the answers to you questions does not make this a crappy documentary! 0

Somehow this documentary didn´t tell the reasons for the civil war and just made those rebels to bad persons where everyone else was good. I don´t think that the world is so black&white.
Also waited to have some more info about what they were going to do in the future. This doctor was only saying that "It will take long... plah plah plah...". 0
