"88.Soldiers" is a swedish documentary about Hammer Hill Click, a group of young immigrants from Hammarkullen in Gothenburg. It's about Hip Hop, a worldwide movement, where the youth can make their voices heard. It does not matter what religion you are. It does not matter what country you come from. The Community is in Hip Hop.
It's the autumn of 1998 and Hammer Hill Click are starting to take off. They rap on hip hop festivals. Their first CD is released. Then tragedy strikes. Two of the members die in the Gothenburg discothèque fire. "88.Soldier" is all about community, joy and sorrow. It's about racism and hostility towards immigrants and about "88", a stolen logo.
