The year is 2021, and half of the Earth's population is suffering from the disease known as Nerve Attenuation Syndrome (NAS). Johnny, a mnemonic data courier, is hired to carry 320 gigabytes of crucial information to safety from the Pharmacom corporation. Pursued by Yakuza agents and a crazed cyborg, Johnny must deliver the data or die in twenty-four hours.

Det här är en av sin tids största och rentutav banbrytande filmer i sci-fi/cyberpunk genren. De personer som sänker filmen har antagligen inte sett så mycket annat från samma period. Att det inte skulle vara någon djupare story och dåliga special effekter kan jag inte hålla med om, man måste jämföra med filmer från samma tidsperiod och då är dom otroligt bra. Storyn tar upp viktiga frågor som antagligen är mer aktuella idag än vad de var 1995, ta bara som exempel wikileaks.

Det här är en riktig höjdar rulle *****5 stjärnor.

Classic Keanu; kind of a 'Constantine meets the Matrix' (and done years before either of them).

Keanu has been in a couple of great Sci-Fi films, and before the Matrix there was Johnny Mnemonic. In the future data is smuggled in people, and Keanu plays a guy who has a bit more than he can handle in his head. What follows is a great ride in a dark distant future. Good ideas, lots of fantasy.
