Intelligently made, dramatic in a way the US film industry rarely accomplish. The film conveys a fragment of the feeling of tragedy that Europe went through, even for people that have no connection or knowledge about the barbaric history of our poor countries. You simply don't shred this film off, it stays in ones mind for a long, very long time. Two inhuman and cruel political systems that devastated the 20:th century. As a member of a famlly where many of us were murdered or had to suffer in the most severe ways - from both of these regimes - it interprets what happen in a way that goes right into my hart. I am grateful to mr. A. Vajda for making this film.

Effectively kills the dream og the peaceful life of the "primitive" peoples that existed before our time. Even though it is complete with an exciting manhunt and film bravery, it gives you a taste of what the horrendous human sacrifice might have been in the old days. It is a society we in Europe know precious little about. The end provides a quality of its own! A great film in its genre!

Selma, the little girl, played wonderfully and with a natural talent for acting without showing it by Claire Bouanich, is just as irritating and trying as a little girl can be (trust me, I have two myself)... One enjoys the whole story, every minute of it, as it unfolds, like as unexpectedly as life itself. It is drama in the smaller scale, but nevertheless just as touching. You never know what will happen - and just that happens.... Simply an emotionally, intelligently and simply wonderfully told story. Couldn't use the 85 minutes better! Nice to watch a good European film. We see to few of them, anyway.
