Network Operator

Through a number of hybrid solutions, Voddler can offer network operators the opportunity to increase revenues by broadening their existing services with a compelling Internet VoD service. It is designed to be device-independent, running on STBs, game consoles and similar media devices, bringing the flexibility and convenience of open Internet VoD into the living room environment.

Network Operators

Business-to-Business Scenario:

Voddler co-operates with a CE manufacturer to integrate Voddler with their devices (e.g. set-top boxes), and then transfers responsibility for billing, payment, CRM, support and promotion to an operator (e.g. cable, satellite, IPTV.) Since Voddler's open Internet VoD solution is designed to be flexible and device-independent, it can easily be integrated with an operator's existing services. In this scenario the operator will receive a share of the revenue according to workload/contribution, without requiring any investment, and will still be able to market the VoD service under the operator's own brand!

Further branding possibilities exist: by setting up an Operator Vortal (VoD Portal), which can be fully customized to meet any requirements, an operator would also be able to interact with customers in other ways, like giving offers to customers or inserting ads/trailers.

Voddler Combo Concept - the Best of Both Worlds!

By using the Voddler Combo Concept an operator can offer their customers regular digital VoD services together with a compelling VoD service through the open Internet. The combo concept is perfect for (1) cable operators that want a better VoD than standard QAM64 gives possibilities for, (2) cable or satellite operators wanting to offer VoD services to their existing customers.

In a Combo set up, VoD channels may be received through any of the sources supported by the device, i.e. DVB-C, DVB-S, DVB-T, or IP. The VoD service will reach the device through the open Internet network.
